Ballet studio La Sylphide
Dobrila Novkov's classical ballet studio La Sylphide was founded in 1991. in Novi Sad. Beside preschool classes, there are elementary students of different generations of ballet school, who get verified certificates with acknowledged finished class.
So far, more than thousand students have attended the school of ballet La Sylphide. Some of them continued the ballet education in ballet high school and some became dancers in professional ballets in The Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad and The National Theatre in Belgrade.
Balet studio La Sylphide follow the Russian method based on the Vaganova syllabus. This unique teaching method has been producing world-class dancers and choreographers for nearly one hundred years, among them such luminaries as George Balanchine, Rudolf Nureyev, Mikhail Baryshnikov and many others. The guiding principles of the Vaganova Method enable a student to develop the flexibility, strength, endurance, muscle memory, discipline, and attention to detail that are essential to his or her growth as a dancer.
